Applications are reviewed and verified by an application technician or licensing deputy within four to six weeks after receipt. A comprehensive field investigation to verify experience is conducted on three percent or more of all applications. The Board also investigates a percentage of applicants using self-employment and/or unlicensed experience to meet the experience requirement.
The examination will usually be scheduled for three to four weeks after application approval. All examinations are now being given on computers in several locations throughout the state. Results from the computer assisted testing are usually available on the date of the examination.
